Responsible content
Publishing that respects the reader
Travel guidance can affect money, safety and immigration status. This policy sets out the limits we place on ourselves because of that.
1. Scope of this policy
This Responsible Content Policy applies to every page published on airsupportteam.com, to our newsletter, and to any answer given by our support team. It sits alongside our Editorial Policy, which covers sourcing and review mechanics, and our Disclaimer, which sets out the limits of the guidance we provide.
2. Safety-critical information
We do not publish instructions that could compromise aviation security, circumvent screening procedures, or misrepresent dangerous goods rules. Where a topic touches restricted items, we describe the published regulation and direct readers to the relevant authority rather than offering workarounds.
We never advise readers to misstate facts to a carrier, border officer or insurer, including in relation to baggage contents, travel purpose, medical conditions or documentation.
3. Immigration and legal boundaries
Entry requirements are set by sovereign governments and change without notice. Our Travel Documents guidance is educational and always directs readers to the official source for their nationality and route. We do not provide immigration advice, and we do not assist with visa applications or appeals.
4. Financial guidance limits
We explain how refunds, compensation and travel credit ordinarily work. We do not promise outcomes, estimate the value of an individual claim, or act as a claims management service. Readers considering a formal claim are pointed to the regulator or ombudsman with jurisdiction rather than to a commercial intermediary.
5. Inclusive and accurate language
Guidance is written for a global readership. We avoid idioms that do not translate, state currencies and units explicitly, and describe regional practice as regional rather than universal. Content relating to accessibility, medical equipment, religious requirements and family travel is reviewed by specialists in those areas before publication.
6. Imagery standards
All photography is licensed stock or original documentary imagery. We do not publish AI-generated depictions of people, aircraft, airports or destinations. Photographs are illustrative and are never captioned in a way that implies they document a specific incident, carrier or facility unless that is verifiably true.
7. Use of automated tools
Automated and AI-assisted tools may support research triage and copy-editing. They do not determine factual content. Every rule statement is verified by a human specialist against a primary source before publication, and any page substantially assisted by such tooling is still owned by a named editorial role.
8. Commercial separation
We accept no payment for coverage, ranking, inclusion or favourable description. No airline, airport, agency or technology provider has approval rights over our content. If sponsored material is ever introduced, it will be visually distinct, labelled as advertising on every screen size, and excluded from editorial recommendations.
9. Reader wellbeing
We do not use urgency tactics, countdown timers, fabricated scarcity or manipulative interface patterns. There is no paywall, no forced registration and no requirement to accept marketing to read a page. Newsletter consent is separate, explicit and revocable in one click.
10. Environmental honesty
Where we discuss the environmental impact of flying, we describe published methodologies and their limitations rather than presenting single figures as settled fact. We do not sell or endorse carbon offset products.
11. Reporting a concern
If you believe a page is inaccurate, unsafe, discriminatory or misleading, write to editorial@airsupportteam.com. Concerns are acknowledged within two business days and, where upheld, the page is corrected with a visible note.
