Accessibility Statement
Our commitment to making the guidebook usable by everyone, and an honest account of where we are. Last updated January 12, 2026.
1. Our commitment
AirSupportTeam LLC is committed to ensuring that airsupportteam.com is accessible to the widest possible audience, including people with visual, hearing, motor, cognitive and neurological differences. Accessibility is treated as an editorial and engineering requirement, not an optional enhancement, and it is reviewed before any page is published.
2. Conformance status
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. We currently assess the Site as substantially conformant: most content meets Level AA, with the exceptions listed in section 5. We also work toward the expectations of Section 508 of the US Rehabilitation Act and the European standard EN 301 549.
3. What we have implemented
- Semantic HTML with a single, meaningful
h1per page and a logical heading hierarchy. - A visible "skip to content" link as the first focusable element on every page.
- Full keyboard operability, with no keyboard traps and a visible focus indicator on every interactive element.
- Text and interface colour combinations tested to meet or exceed a 4.5:1 contrast ratio for body text and 3:1 for large text and interface components.
- Descriptive alternative text on informative images; decorative images marked so screen readers skip them.
- Form fields with persistent visible labels, programmatic label association and error messages conveyed in text rather than colour alone.
- Landmark regions (header, navigation, main, footer) and accessible names on all navigation elements.
- Layouts that reflow without horizontal scrolling down to 320 CSS pixels and remain usable at 200% zoom.
- Respect for the operating system's reduced-motion preference; no auto-playing media, flashing or parallax effects.
- Link text that makes sense out of context, avoiding bare "click here" and "read more".
4. Editorial accessibility
Accessibility is also a writing standard. We use short sentences, define aviation terminology on first use, avoid idiom that does not translate, structure pages so they can be scanned by heading, and present rule comparisons in properly marked-up tables with header cells rather than as images.
5. Known limitations
We are transparent about the areas that are not yet fully conformant:
- Map embed. The interactive map planned for the Contact page will come from a third-party provider whose controls we do not fully control. The complete address, telephone number and opening hours are always provided in text alongside it.
- Third-party links. Airline and government resources we link to are outside our control and vary considerably in accessibility quality.
- Complex comparison tables. Some rulebook comparisons are dense. We are progressively adding summaries and row headers to make them easier to navigate with a screen reader.
- Legacy stock photography captions. A small number of older images carry brief alternative text that we are in the process of expanding.
6. How we test
Every release is checked with automated tooling (axe-core and Lighthouse) and by manual keyboard-only navigation. Periodic manual review is carried out with NVDA on Windows and VoiceOver on macOS and iOS, in current versions of Chrome, Firefox and Safari. Pages with new interactive patterns are additionally reviewed by an external accessibility contractor before release.
7. Alternative formats
If any page is difficult to use, we will provide the same information in another format — plain text, large print, or read aloud over the telephone by a specialist. There is no charge for this and no requirement to explain why you need it.
8. Feedback and complaints
We welcome reports of accessibility barriers. Please include the page address, what you were trying to do, and the assistive technology and browser you were using, if you know them.

We acknowledge reports within 2 business days and aim to resolve confirmed barriers within 15 business days, or to provide a written timetable where a fix takes longer. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate to the relevant national enforcement body for accessibility in your jurisdiction.
9. Assessment approach
This statement is based on a self-evaluation carried out by AirSupportTeam LLC, supported by periodic external review. It was last reviewed on January 12, 2026 and is reviewed at least annually, and whenever a significant change is made to the Site.
